Use of ACES-ITCS photographs and digital images
is subject to the following terms and conditions:

Please note that photographs, digital image files, and other materials ("Images") may be covered by restrictions, and/or copyright.

All images created by Information Technology & Communication Services (ITCS) staff are available for use by clients within the college and university. There is no charge for the use of images already in electronic form, but there may be costs associated with retrieval, duplication, digital image processing, shipping and transmission.

To aid in tracking the use of ITCS photos and so that we may respond to requests for images that have been published, each use must be identified with a photo credit.

Permission is generally granted to newspapers and news magazines for images that are used to illustrate articles about the college, the university, its programs or research on the condition that an adjacent photo credit is included stating one of the following:

Suggested Newspaper or Magazine credit:
"Photo by [photographers name], University of Illinois."

Suggested University Publications credit:
"Photo by [photographers name], UIUC-ACES-ITCS"

Images may be made available to clients outside the university for non-commercial use, provided credit is given to the university, the college and ITCS, with an adjacent photo credit as outlined above. Copying or redistribution in any manner for personal or corporate profit is not permitted. A fee for these outside uses may apply.

ACES-ITCS specifically retains any rights, including possible copyright, which it may have in data, files, and/or the images they contain.

For all other usage of these pictures--especially commercial use--individuals must first seek permission from jknobla@illinois.edu in ACES-ITCS at the phone number or address below.

Images in the ITCS archive that were contributed by other sources may be made available as well but will come with those restrictions requested by the creator of the image. Any publication or use of these images will require that adequate credit be given, and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
